Your new school will be larger
and more spread out than the one you are presently at. Here are some suggestions
that might help you to find your way around.
-
Visit your new school and spend time walking around. Make
sure you identify major landmarks.
-
When visiting ask for a map. Most schools have them available.
-
Once you have been assigned a home-room, use your free
times to practice getting to it from other places in the school.
-
For homework prepare a plan for the next day. That way
you will be able to anticipate any possible difficulties.
-
Give yourself plenty of time if you have somewhere new
to go to.
-
Team up with a friend if you are having trouble finding
your way around.
-
If you get lost don't be afraid to ask an older student
or teacher for help.
-
Look for signs and maps around the school that will point
you in the right direction.
