Problem Solving
Many people use a simple strategy to solve problems. This strategy can be useful for both schoolwork problems or personal problems. It is best to think of it as five steps.

1) Define the Problem
What is it that is actually causing
you to feel or act this way?
What does the problem look like?
Who is involved?
2) Look at different possibilities
Are there different things you can do
that might solve the problem? Don't be
afraid to consider ideas that appear
unusual or even a little bit silly.
Sometimes these ideas can turn out to
be the best.
3) Decide on the best action
Think about what might happen if
you follow the different alternatives.
Which one is most likely to give
you the best result?
Problem
Solved?
5) Reflect
Has the problem gone away?
Is there more you need to do?
Would another action have been better?
4) Take that action
Get on with it. Don't waste time,
don't pass go and collect
$200 dollars, just do it!!!
